Meet the Author

Bill Zack is an award-winning journalist and author whose storytelling roots trace back to a small-town newsroom, where he trained under Pulitzer Prize winner Howard James. From those early days, he built a career defined by precision, integrity, and a reverence for narrative truth.
His work has garnered national and state honors-including the prestigious Green Eyeshade Award for sports journalism-and has appeared in USA Today, The Sporting News, and other leading publications. A former chapter officer with the Atlanta Baseball Writers’ Association of America, Bill has long championed both the craft and the community of journalism.
His nonfiction titles include Tomahawked (Simon & Schuster) and Chipper Jones, part of ChelseaHouse’s Baseball Legends series. Today, he writes fiction with the same clarity, heart, and immersive storytelling that defined his reporting. His books span genres-from historical fiction to YA time travel to political thrillers-yet all carry his signature focus on character, consequence, and truth.
Originally from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Bill lives with his wife in the Tennessee mountains, where he’s currently at work on his next novel.
